In February, 2013 we took a ten-minute walk from Toko Djitu to buy some coffee from the locally famous Aroma coffee company. And were invited to take a tour by the owner. You would never guess from the outside the size of the operation. From the outside it is just a door and a very small room with a counter for getting and paying for your ordered coffee. The factory dates from 1930, a year or two after the beginning of Toko Djitu. They grind an average of five jute bags of coffee a day and there are always customers at the door. A few kilos go to local supermarkets and some hotels. The owner invited us in and these are the pictures. Click on the thumbs for enlargements.
